床の間に軸をかける場合でも日光や冷暖房が直接あたらないようにしましょう。また、湿気の多い所もさけてください。
Be careful with a direct sunshine and an air-conditioning. Moisture is
not good for the hanging scroll. |

| 掛軸の掛け外し方 |
|
掛けはずしの時には手をきれいにして、軸先部分を持って巻き上げたり、下げたりして下さい。中央部はできるだけ持たないようにし、持つときはあて布かハンカチを添えて持つといいでしょう。その時、そっと握って下さい。こうすれば、折れたりしわになったり汚れたりしないでしょう。
When you take off the Kakejiku, your hand should be clean and do touch the end of the Kakejiku for rolling up and down. If you need to touch the center, please use a
covering cloth or a handkerchief. Even so, please grasp it softly. So that
the Kakejiku will not be broken, creased, and dirty. |

| 掛軸の掛け替え・しまい方 |
|
掛け軸はこまめに、掛け替えましょう。掛け替えるときは晴天続きの日に軽く埃を払ってから、防虫香のはいった桐箱にしまいましょう。巻くときはあまり強く巻き締めないで軽く巻きましょう。
The Kakejiku can be changed very often.You should change it in a long spell of fine
weather after dusting it softly. And please keep it in a paulownia wood
box with a month repellent. Roll up softly in any case. |

| 掛軸の保守・保管 |
|
あまり掛けない掛け軸でも年に２回くらいは晴天の日に掛けるといいでしょう。
保存場所は湿気の少なく、埃や虫の入りにくい所がいいでしょう。
We recommend you to hang the Kakejiku even which is not used frequently at least twice a year (of course in
a fine weather). Keep away from mosture, dust or bugs. |

| 新しい掛軸について |
|
表装をしたばかりの新しい掛け軸は特に、こまめに掛けはずすといいでしょう。掛けっぱなしにしておくと、必要以上にそりがくるこがあるので気をつけましょう。
It is better to take off and hang again very frequently the Kakejiku which is just finished to mount a picture. If it is just hanging , the Kakejiku will be bend backwand. |
